In the first round of the school competition, Elif solved some very challenging tasks independently. This involved content that is usually only dealt with in chemistry studies. In the end, she achieved so many points that she easily qualified for the 2nd round.
In the second round, Elif wrote an exam lasting several hours, which she had to complete without any aids. "Quite difficult," she said after the exam. But her result in this round was also so good that in the end she was declared a "successful participant".
Even if there is no cash or non-cash prize for this, Elif can now at least take part in workshops and seminars on chemistry to which she is invited. And she has already looked at the tasks for the 2027 Chemistry Olympiad.
