This year, some children from the third year have been trained as new break helpers. Today, the new break helpers were introduced to all the children. There was a lot of applause and at the end each helper received a certificate.

On Sunday, April 28, the traditional spring festival took place in downtown Eper. As part of the Kulturstrolche program, the third-graders had rehearsed a bee dance with Gika Buss Engemann and practiced a pirate dance to join in. Then, quite spontaneously, they were all allowed to join Dennis Buss on stage to sing the Kulturstrolche song with him. As a reward, there was lots of applause and an ice cream for everyone!
On Saturday, April 6, many children from the two third grades celebrated their First Holy Communion. All third graders went to the Mass of Thanksgiving on Monday. After the service, all the parents and children met in the garden of the vicarage. There were drinks, cookies and donuts for everyone. In bright sunshine, the children were able to play together and the adults chatted.
Classes 3a and 3b investigated this question last Tuesday. With the help of a measuring wheel, they measured exactly one kilometer.
As part of the school cinema weeks, we took the train to Gronau on 6.2.2024 to visit cinetech. The movie "Kannawoniwasein" was very funny.
Mrs. Niesing from the Nature Promotion Society was at our school today, 30.1.2024, to award a prize to the third classes. Last fall, both classes studied plants along the wayside in science class and created a herbarium with more than 20 different plants. This competition entry has now been awarded the main prize. Both classes were allowed to travel to Frankenhof and spend a morning there. Following the award ceremony, all the children were able to make several seed balls from soil, clay, water and wildflower seeds. These now have to dry and can be sown outdoors from April.
As part of the Kulturstrolche project, Dennis Buss and Dennis Mätzig were at our school and made sound and film recordings with the 3a and 3b classes. Together with the other Kulturstrolche classes in Gronau, they will produce a music video which will soon be available on YouTube.
At 8:30 a.m., classes 1 and 3 met with their parents in the gymnasium. There they sang together and each class had rehearsed a short performance.
On Tuesday, the dental health campaign took place at our school. We had two lessons on the topic of healthy teeth. At various stations, we learned about the structure of a tooth, how to brush our teeth properly, the sugar content of some foods and much more.
On Thursday, two children from year three were allowed to record in Dennis Buss' recording studio. It was a lot of fun.
As part of the Kulturstrolche project, the third year was able to take part in an art project with the artist Barbara Sendker. We visited the gallery one morning and worked there together. We also looked at the paintings in the gallery and the sculptures in the gallery garden. We realized that art is very versatile.

Today we spent the whole day crafting and decorating our school for Christmas. Lots of parents were there to help us with tinkling, cutting and gluing. So we were able to decorate our windows and classrooms with stars, snowflakes and felted Christmas baubles. This year we sewed boots for our Advent calendar.
On September 11, the whole school went on a trip to Ketteler Hof. All the children were able to play, climb and run around on lots of different equipment.
We held a school rally with our sponsor class, 1b, to help the first graders get to know the school building better. The third graders showed and explained the most important rooms and paths to the first graders. This resulted in a colorful raccoon.
