Over the past few weeks, we have practiced a lot for the cycling test. After the police had given a few more tips and advice, all fourth graders set off for their cycling test. After a round trip with 15 stations, everyone arrived back at school safely. Congratulations on passing the test!
Play "My body belongs to me"
Building on the play "Nein-Tonne", the theater pedagogical workshop came back to our class. Small scenes were used to express feelings of yes and no. "What can I do as a child if someone crosses my physical boundaries?" and "How do I defend myself against sexual violence?" were two important questions that were answered. It became clear that in cases of sexual violence, the perpetrator is always to blame.
The children should be empowered to prevent dangerous situations and learn to get help when they need it. The children were given three questions to answer:
Do I have a yes or a no feeling?
Does anyone know where I am?
Can I get help if I need it?
Despite the difficult topic, the children were eager to participate thanks to the great actors, the catchy song "My body..." and the age-appropriate play scenes.
Lighthouses
In art class, we used empty potato chips tins, jam jars, flower pots and various decorations to make fantastic lighthouses that can even really light up with an electric tea light.
We were on a school trip in Haltern
From Wednesday to Friday, the fourth graders were on a class trip to Haltern am See.

Swimming pool pictures
In art class, we have been studying the famous British painter David Hockney. He often painted people in swimming pools and is a keen swimmer himself.
